Daughter of an Ohio Boxing Hall of Famer, Martha learned at an early age the importance of fighting for your goals. After hearing a jazz piano piece on NPR at the age of seven, Martha knew music was where her heart will always be.
After over a decade of classical piano training and some schooling in top 40 standards, Martha has been breaking into the pop market with a more unique approach. Her eclectic range of musical influences including Mozart, Tori Amos, Herbie Hancock, and Bruce Hornsby have provided a distinctive edge to her songwriting style. Her hauntingly beautiful melodies and wide vocal range set her apart as a fresh talent. Martha has worked with such greats as the late Leon Russel, and has been invited to the stage of popular festivals and clubs including the Abbot Kinney Festival in Venice Beach. Martha has been listed as one of Music Connection Magazine’s 15th Annual Hot 100 Unsigned Artists.
Martha now resides in Seattle with her husband and twin daughters, who continue to inspire her everyday. And while she hasn’t been as active in the music scene, she remains working on new projects everyday.
